This elliptical wall mount piece is a contemporary, abstract, shield-shaped or perhaps kayak-shaped sculpture with very crisp latitudinal and longitudinal symmetry. The understructure armatures are plywood, with curved acrylic upstanding fins. 4 way stretch metallic purple spandex fabric sensuously conforms to the fins and the slender elliptical overall shape, creating a dramatic play of reflections which change as the viewer moves around the piece. It can be hung either vertically as shown or horizontally if preferred.
